Let me tell u about the tragic and heartbreaking lyrics to “Who will know” from the Shin Godzilla OST that are from Godzilla’s perspective... gives a lot of context to how much this creature is suffering.
If I die in this world
Who will know something of me?
I am lost, no one knows
There's no trace of my yearning
I wear a void
Not even hope
A downward slope
Is all I see

I just recently started watching Gojira movies. Only 2 stands out, the first and this one. The first one for being surprisingly good, and surprisingly well-thought with questions afterwards, making me wonder about it afterwards.
== Minor Spoiler ==
Then there's this one, if felt unlike anything else.When we see it walk with those huge fish eyes, it had the traits for googly eyes and some laughter, but I felt no need to laugh, I just stared.
Also the constant meeting and absolutely absurb use of ranks "Tell A to X", and they pass the information along, TO THE SAME PEOPLE IN THE SAME ROOM! It looked like they were playing Telephone. They use different rooms for different conversations, for the same emergency meeting. All the while everyone's suffering, both the people, and Gojira, because of the government's incompetence.
What a well-directed movie. Such a tragedy. He could go for a little hug and some petting, some understanding.

I was born and raised in Tokyo and this film is set in my hometown. I empathize with Shin-Godzilla and have watched it 3 times. I almost felt like the Tokyo dragon destroying his hometown. And now I got these lyrics from you. OH WOW this is a perfect explain for how I felt about this film.
