Now, looking at this promo, and the way you've not only worded it out there, but in the description panel, I can see one of these happening;
1a. (Solo) Stacy orders takeout, but no sooner has it arrived and she's sat down than Stacy pops her cork. She needs to go to the hospital, but a) Alex has the car and is on the other side of town and can't make it in time, or b) she plans to drive herself to the hospital and her car won't start, so she has to ask the delivery man, who's still outside her place, to drive her to the hospital - despite the fact that he's on a tight schedule, the hospital is outside of his routes and his vehicle doesn't go very fast.
1b. (Couple) Alex and Stacy are in together and order a take-out, just to help while the time till Stacy goes into labor (or use the takeout to trigger it). It arrives and no sooner have they started than Stacy goes into labor. They try to set off, but the car won't start for some reason. In the end, they hail the delivery-man, to take them in his car, even though he points out that he has customers waiting for him, and that his car can't go fast with his cargo on board.
(These were inspired by Jeremy Strong's "My Mum is About to Explode", when the narrator's mum went into labor with twins, the car failed to start up, so they asked the pizza delivery guy who'd just served them to take them to the hospital in his van - who, after setting off and going at a snail's crawl, explains that his van can't go over 20mph or the speed would curdle the cheese on the pizza toppings)
2. Stacy goes into labor, but still in the early stages decides to order takeout to take her mind off it, and uses the delivery time to time her contractions and labor-length, and seeing which would arrive first (plus if the delivery reaches her within 30 mins, its free). A funny moment with this could be Stacy answers the door to accept her food order, wearing only her maternity shirt and glasses (like in the image above) and has the baby's head sticking out of her like the clanger of a bell...
