I can wash my hair once a week, and I've been doing that for two months straight before I got these in, lice if you take really crappy care of your hair, share hats with people, ect., and yeah the itchyness is probably inevitable, but that's what aloe is for =3

You can definitely still wash! They have special shampoos and such to keep the dread in while staying clean :) Nothing about dreads is dirty anymore tbh.
I understand though, I love how dreads look but I could never have them myself, just because I like running my fingers through my hair.

I've had dreads for over a year and a half... I wash them, they are comfortable, haven't had lice, can run my hands through them... AND you can maintain a job with them as well *grins*(yes even a corporate one).. so whatever misconceptions people have... don't worry.
