And now for something completely different.
Apex is an alt-history story. World War 1+2 never took place, but they did have their own great war. Which is what we get a glimpse of here. The war of the Houses took place after the stillborn plague had finally reached Europe. Some saw oppurtunities in the declining birth rate, and seized the chance to destroy ancient rivals. What started as local skirmishes soon escalated into a full out war.
