This was what she got for branching out. Her farm had been doing so well, though. Her orchards had sold out last month, and magical crops like zap apples were always in demand. So make a small plot for some flowers from the Everfree had seemed like a good idea. Nothing dangerous, just the sort of thing a unicorn might use in a potion brew, or a pegasi on their wings to make em better.

How was SHE supposed to know that Poison Joke would end up pranking her like this, again? Wasn't it gauche to repeat a gag? Worse, they'd done a new one on Fluttershy, or rather, a joke they stole from Twilight, as Appletini found herself rushing through the brush, to the sound of leather wings overhead, her breathing heavy and labored as she dove down into the roots of one of the trees, trying to hide.

She had hoped to get herself somewhere safe, wait for morning, and get some help. But Flutterbat had other ideas, as she circled around the tree twice, before seemingly vanishing. Applejack didn't quite believe that, but decided to stick her head out of her hideyhole. At just the worst time, as Flutterbat swooped down, her jaws wide open, her tongue out, and scooped up not only an apple, but also an Apple, in her hunger.

"Consarnit!" she shouted, as the soft tongue wrapped around the apple, pinning her to it, as she kicked and struggled, trying to break free, trying to find some escape, only to feel the hot, humid breath of Flutterbat wash over her. Her view of the outside world slowly faded, as she found herself inside the jaws of the transformed pegasus, which closed slowly, the mmm of pleasure at her taste not exactly an encouraging sound to hear, as the scene around her went pitch black.
