Yesterday, at about 9 pm, our German Shepherd named Carmen died. She was 12 years old and in a short period of time she got sick, she had problems with her paws and sort of cancer, in the last couple of days she stopped walking at all and did not leave her kennel. She was getting worse and worse, but we supported her condition, fed and watered her as much as we could, and yesterday she left us herself. I am still in a very shaky moral state, although I understand that now she is not in pain and she is no longer suffering. After all, seeing how much pain she was in was excruciating and unbearable.
