I only discovered the series last year, and I completely devoured them. I'm honestly surprised they're from the early 80s.

Cherryh is a deeply fascinating author, I also read the Fading Suns trilogy which contains a lot of themes of Otherness and cultural adaptation that you see in Chanur and supposedly in the same universe.

I really believe the only pieces about her on this site have been commissioned by Upwinger and drawn by me... And this is always puzzling as the setting is so furry and so interesting.

i think this is the first piece of "Chanur" art that I've seen, but I love the books! Perhaps my most favourite of all sci-fi novels..., especially "Legacy". I wish there were more!

Your interpretations are a bit different from what my imagination has produced, but they're still great!
