This is one of the first images of Anubis that I saw in the early days before I got more involved in the fandom. The base image is not my original artwork but it was found on Bluesky in an old art thread so I saved the original image. After doing a search to find out who did it the best info I could get is that it was done by Helvetica and posted to the VCL in July 2003. After downloading the original it was fed into enlarger software, then loaded into Photoshop where I drew in additional detail and added the color.
Back when this was originally posted Anubis was often drawn by furry artists and that may have been the motivation for this meme image, I really like it! If the original artist sees this (Helvetica or otherwise ) then I hope that they don't mind that I added to it, hence the (collab image.) note in the title.

A lot of artists that I used to follow have either gone altogether or disappeared behind paywalled sites. There are a couple of others like Furronika that seem to post content for a while, then without warning they wipe their galleries and disappear for a long time before they decide to reappear later.
