You said, "also sad that Japanese kids don't care." when the show is watched in America and plenty of other countries where THOSE kids also don't care. It's all kids that don't care. Not just the Japanese ones. =P The time span thing was to illustrate it has been a sadly pervasive thing [or at least, the idea that those making the 'toons hold.]
Oh! I see. I didn't mean to single out a nationality. Of course USA or Europe etc kids don't care. But anime like one piece is marketed towards Japanese kids who are just as happy with the animation quality of pokemon and all their knock offs.
I didn't mean everyone else but Japanese people don't care. I don't ever remember caring about quality of animation when I was a kid. But when I look back at those shows they are still great. Am I just being an old nostalgia-fag or do a lot of shows nowadays not compare?

I think in some cases it is nostalgia and some cases of the shows really being better. Stuff like Batman Beyond was ACTUALLY good and had themes and plots in many of the episodes you won't see in typical kids shows today. I think even if it IS nostalgia that doesn't really even matter, you like what you like and shouldn't let anything as silly as it being lame get you down. <:) I try not to!
