There she stood, staring down upon the loyalist who chose to keep their weapons in hand. They had heard of her battle prowess, her skills with the blade that cut down even veteran soldiers and the magic that caused many to run in terror. But those were just rumors, surely. Those traitors that surrendered would be brought before the king, with Nahida in tow, and all would be executed. Only when the battle truly began did they realize their mistake, far too late to avoid their inevitable demise. The ones that did surrender would have that haunting memory in their heads, their previous comrades falling to her blade one-by-one until nothing remained but corpses and abandoned weapons.

I had been looking for a YCH to show off how Nahida was viewed during her Rebellion against the previous king Zenaren, and this was a perfect YCH for it. She always led the charge and used her magic and blade skills to strike down those that stayed loyal to the king. She would always call for the enemy soldiers to throw down their weapons, and those that did would be spared and treated with kindness and hospitality. Those that didn't, she gave no quarter to. Despite the fear that those who surrendered had towards Nahida, many ended up joining her rebellion as they found the hospitality and kindness of the rebels, as well as seeing Nahida's leadership in person, to be something that the previous king had lacked.
