Aikine is an Asari wizard! Eurasian Goshawk as the base species. Back when the Asari were created in 2004, the Aarakocra only had four limbs, not six.

Most birds actually can turn their heads 180 degrees thanks to Creepy Bird Neck. Look at what owl necks are like under their fluff.

Yeah, it's the amount of vertebrae they have in there. ;) If you think about it, it makes sense considering their eyes don't move well. Owls just have a much more flexible neck.

So yes, Aikine could easily turn her neck 180 degrees too. ;)
