It seems our bad guys are sneaking away and avoiding being held responsible for their dastardly deeds, yet again.

The Karaboudjan (Alias: Djebel Amilah) is a steam merchant ship that appears in The Crab with the Golden Claws. Its name is supposedly Armenian, though it is strange to consider as the country of Armenia does not have a coast line. The ship was under the command of Captain Archibald Haddock until his control was taken over by his turned-rogue first mate, Allan Thompson.

PD: I love the conversation the guys have here about the comic villain being an oximoron, you know what? Its the same thought i always had about Willie E Coyote, the guy's always starving because he focus all the time on catch the Roadrunner, but actually if he would spend all the cash ( not sure from where he get the funds, but its clear he has some good amount of spare money somewere >XD ) he uses to buy all that A.C.M.E crap that's always failing, on food and drinks instead, he would be well feed and even taste better things than a roadrunner >X)
He didn't have Door Dash, Grub Hub, or Omaha Steaks back in the day. Otherwise, he'd be a chubby coyote and not a very good cartoon subject. As for funding of his crazy projects, perhaps he cashed in deposits on bottles and cans found along the roadway. A dollar in the 40s and 50s went a lot farther than today.
My favourite example of this trope is the Fantastic Four's enemy the Wizard -- not a sorcerer, but a scientist who discovered the secret of anti-gravity technology.
Does he licence this tech to every airline company and air force worldwide, making himself a multi-billionaire?
No, silly -- he builds a jetpack and goes out robbing banks!
