Psychedelic Diva, Alt Outfit + Synth arm
"Perfection is ever-changing. Learn it well, and you'll slay in any season."
- Izanami
Another post as I tried out a new outfit for her. One based off of a mix of Black Dahlia from Skullgirls and Resident Evil's Lady Dimitrescue. I'm surprised as this dress and cloak actually accentuated her shape instead of concealing it. It's a big deviation from her inspiration, but I like it. She also gets a cybernetic arm, from back when she and Tak lived in Pinnon, that functions as a music player. I've been imagining her being able to make music to add further to her psychedelic theme, particularly trance, pop and stuff like that. The idea came from playing a Hat In Time modded level called Concert Crashing. The arm was supposed to resemble the Octavia Warframe's mandachord, but that thing was impossible to accurately replicate, so I simplified the idea and made it look more like a dueling disk. Parts of the arm can be hotswapped or shapeshifted, and the variant featured here is a hand with syringes for fingers.
Soooo Nami had cemented herself as a prominent character in my book despite her origin as being based off of Incredibox: Everybody Gets High. My imagination got silly with her and I came up with a new role for her. Inspired by Skullgirls, great game by the way, Izanami now takes the role of Tak's Theon parasite. She's a remote parasite like Sagan, meaning she isn't physically attached to Tak, but instead her heart was transplanted into him. Their symbiotic bond gives them both new powers, but their bond is still pretty new and shaky, so their joined strength has a lot of room to grow and improve as time passes and their chemistry improves. Izanami primarily has psychic and poison-based powers; she uses her psychic powers to conjure illusions and mind-control her opponents, while her toxins slowly kill or disable her adversaries. Either method would involve trippy hallucinations for the victim, befitting Izanami's drug and psychedelic motif. She also has some degree of shapeshifting, letting her take on forms that Tak can more easily carry with him if they need to leg it, or by using parts of her body as make-do weapons for him if they're caught unarmed. She can also temporarily assimilate stats and traits from devouring their kills, and both she and Tak would develop new tricks over time.
Izanami and Taketzu have slightly opposing personalities. Tak prefers to use his vast wealth sparingly and not dress the part, while Izanami loves to flaunt it with her attire and feasts. Nami's outwardly outgoing and bubbly, but deep down she's actually cautious and paranoid, while Tak has much more confidence for his ability to find threats and defend himself and his buddy. Izanami's the reason Tak even has bodyguards on his payroll, when he'd otherwise only rely on agents and spies. Though Izanami has the ability to influence the minds and wills of others with her psychic powers, Tak almost never uses this power of hers outside of combat, as he'd rather build genuine trust and respect with his subordinates. He does use Nami's psychic power as a way to communicate with others over long distance through telepathy. Now, pokemons don't normally live as symbiotic parasites, not even in my setting. Let's say Izanami's not 100% just a scolipede.
