Association Football has always been an intriguing sport to watch, although my overall knowledge about it is quite limited, except for the "kick the ball into the goal" part, haha
More recently, games such as Mario Strikers, EA Sports FIFA, and Pinball FX's "Super League Football" table has reignited my curiosity on the sport and allowed me to cross that with my enjoyment of Splatoon since they have some soccer-themed clothing options there too! The best of both worlds, haha!Art by

Splatoon has alot of elements of various sports hidden throughout...
- Several battlegrounds throughout the franchise are repurposed from sporting venues and arenas
- Octo Expansion/Side Order's 8-ball levels being dead ringers for Billiards and/or 8 Ball Pool
- The Curling Bomb in it's entirety, and by extension, Hero Mode level 3-4 in Splatoon 3
- The Power Clam in Clam Blitz is literally a football pigskin stuffed with the smaller clams. What's more, when throwing the Power Clam, your character motions like a football quarterback preparing to throw a pass!
- Not to mention the ton of other sportswear available throughout the games (but I think Soccer was the best and coolest addition!)
But yeah, wish Splatoon could take advantage and include some sporting modes alongside Tableturf as alternatives ways to enjoy the game beyond Turf War~
