Capranos is a member of a tribe of mountain sheep that lives a few ridges away from Fenris's hometown. They are having issues with small predatory creatures and have lost multiple young to them. Numerous members of the flock have heard of a mixed species village that might be able to help. He encountered Fenris, who was out on a patrol around his home village. Fenris had been taught the caprine language, though his skill with communicating with it is limited and filled with gaps. Fenris led Capranos into town for a meal, a restful night in a safe barn, surrounded by peaceful unicorns, and a following morning of preparation for the return journey to the tribe's grazing grounds. Once they arrived at the Tribe's home range, Fenris was able to conclude that the sheep had a bigger problem than what he could handle on his own. Resolution of the predator problem would earn Capranos the right to choose an improved, adult name.
