My mother-in-law used to breed Newfies as show dogs and pets back in the day - even when I first met my hubby, his dog at the time was a Landseer Newf :) The most gentlest, well-mannered dog I've ever met :) Not to mention that she was also master of the "I'm going to cry, no one is petting me" eyes XD
