A cute little skrunkle, to be sure. I have to imagine he rapidly taps his fingers on things like aye-ayes do when searching for insects to eat, but as a nervous habit.

Is the crystal of any particular significance to him? In a setting with necromancers and succubi, it's possible that he could be a wizard, but then again, it just might be a pretty rock on a guy wearing loose long sleeves.

He's a psychic mage! The crystal helps him focus his powers so the visions he gets make more sense, and helps him not lose his mind because of his powers.

How do Wenzel's visions work, and does he have any other psychic abilities?

I actually never decided on his other abilities, lmao.... the visions are usually triggered by being in proximity to a thing/person though (like if something significant is going to happen to somebody, meeting them would cause him to have a vision of it)
