there's a soldier boy who dreams a dream of home.
Where a nightingale
sings a promise to the ones who sleep alone.
Spring is in the air with scent of cherry blossom in the glen.
Whispering a prayer
saying bring our heroes safely home again.

And nobody seemed to notice the use of the Pentatonic scale which gives this the perfect Chinese sound.
Now, to me, the percussion sounds more African than Asian, but then, I don't associate percussion with Asia, anyway.
And I don't know very much about percussion either, so I could be ALL wrong.

Don't know about the rhythm but China has used drums for at least 4000 years.

Gotta love the Asian music. Gives us piano players a chance to give the black keys their turn X3
I think what's really amazing is that you could easily separate the vocals or the music and have them be fantastic still. The mixing of them creates a unique flavor that, as I'm sure a synesthete would tell you, is a sight to behold. 7

Very inspirational. I'm no musician, but I'm a listener when it comes to music. Your songs are always a pleasure to listen to (especially the collabs you do) and they're really fun to draw to on days. Keep up the great work and pray to see more masterpieces from you soon! God bless you for your extraordinary musical talents. :)
I just received your "Feel" album in the mail today. I ran to my computer, unwrapped it, and listened to it.
Your work, Fox Amoore, touches my heart in so many ways! I hope you never stop making music, because you are an amazing talent. And yes, the collaborations you and Lilypad create are so beautiful! Her voice is so hauntingly beautiful and compliments your pieces so well. Thank you!

I usually don't tear-up and shiver at the sound of music, but this did both. It is a rather touching piece that I will favorite and keep.
"Whispering a prayer
saying bring our heroes safely home again."
I will agree to those two lines as it needs to be done more often.

Absolutely phenomenal music and singing! This is truly beautiful, Foxy.
The main melody from this is the same music from "International Karate", a popular game for the Commodore 64 in the 80s. I'd really recommend you submit this piece to http://remix.kwed.org, a website where musicians upload their remixes of C64 game music. For one such example of a remix of this piece, have a listen to http://remix.kwed.org/download.php/.....1%20mix%29.mp3
I think you'd be a wonderful composer of remixes for C64 music, although I know you're quite busy with other projects.

Sounds wonderful, although there seems to be some slight distortion when she sings the high notes? Or is that just my crappy laptop speakers? >_> Probably the laptop speakers.
I have to agree with Skyfox1, but you should know by now about kwed. I must've referred you to it when we first got aquainted? Don't forget about Slay Radio, however. Proper place to listen to the tunes other people remixed. (http://slayradio.org)

Your music is beautiful. But when you do a collab with
lilypad it's mesmerizing. I know I'll listen to this over and over ^^

Foxamoore, I wanted to compliment you specifically. I was listening to some of your older work, and then this. You have developed such a clean, smooth sound to your music, and your choices in this, mixed with Lily's vocals, is truly magic. A full symphony backing couldn't do better.
Oh, also, gotta love the drums. Perfect choice.

Fox i tip my hat to thee ^^ this song made me cry for i am an airman and the US airforce, and one of the lucky few who made it home. Some sadly are still over there in the sandbox.... or as i call it hell, and your music always calmed me down in times of stress. SO TO THEE FOXAMOORE I SAY thank you *renders a slute with a tear rolling down his cheek.* And sir please keep up the good work.
The traditionality and seemingly old sound to this music along the beginning of it and some of the more fine less used instruments these days, some of the favorite music types of Hally's, the beauty and near celestial sound to it, a wondrous combination of a angels voice into a music worthy of the most beautiful, this song brings a smile, and a hum, well done, first song heard here of this sort on FA, and must say, definitely amazing. A true beauty :3
There's a hero's tale of a sheep that sailed,
Under distant stars somewhere far away.
And she's bound for glory on a foreign shore,
But the hero's every boy who sailed off to war.
Somewhere far away, there's a soldier boy who dreams a dream of home.
Where a nightingale sings a promise to the ones who sleep alone.
Spring is in the air with scent of cherry blossom in the glen.
Whispering a prayer, saying bring our heroes safely home again.
So the wind blows sweet and the candles burn,
For there is no sleep for the ones who yearn.
As I tell your story with a faithful heart,
You are always in our hearts, though we are worlds apart.
Somewhere far away, there's a soldier boy who dreams a dream of home.
Where a nightingale sings a promise to the ones who sleep alone.
Spring is in the air with scent of cherry blossom in the glen.
Whispering a prayer, saying bring our heroes safely home again.
Where are you? Somewhere far away,
We miss you more with each new day...
