I was at AC 04, but I never did get the nerv to ask for any sketches, or thought the asking prices were a bit much. I did buy a couple prints off Michelle Light though. This year will be different >:( I'm going to gather the nerv to ask for some sketches from artists, maybe even a few full commissions.

Michele used to take books just Saturday morning, but I think she's now going to take some on Friday and a few more on Saturday, so she can work on them overnight. She likes the way her sketches come out a lot better when she can work on them away from the convention floor.
