Now here's a silly picture inspired in good memories from my childhood. Woody Woodpecker is one of my favorite characters, and however I dig for his screwball version from the 40's, I choose to draw a scene based on the 1961 animated short "Franken-stymied", which is probably one of the most popular Woody's episodes here in Brazil. The wacky sounds from Frank, the plucking-feathers robot, are priceless!
Walter Lantz, wherever you are, thanks for creating Woody Woodpecker. For sure your creation is one of my founts of inspiration.

Uma notinha a quem é do Brasil: quem já riu pacas com o clássico episódio do Puxa-Frangos, levante o braço! o/

VERY cool... Yeah, somehow can't beat the Old School Hero's ™ for pure appeal.
Planning on tackling any others from Back-In-The-Day? Or start a Stream-of-Consciousness thread and see if you can come full circle.. starting with the Franken theme... and going after Frankenstein Jr. next? (Chuckle) Or The Iron Man....
Ok, I'll stop being a pain in the ass, now.

I remember going to the Drive-In theater as a young boy and watching the 2 Woody Woodpecker (That sounds wrong) cartoons that'd play before the movie. Then I'd fall asleep a couple minutes into the actual movie. But, you know who I'd like to see as well? The polar bear from the Chilly Willy 'toons from Lantz.
