Some sketchwork from Daxthinksnot!
The women of the Pride are as varied as they are sought after. Daughters of men established enough to have earned marriage, their hand is hard earned, and never freely given. Their world is one far removed from that of even their brothers, who may be students of war, trade, the sciences, or history, they are often tutored in matters of art, language, etiquette and culture.
Curious by nature, and cloistered for much of their youth, their lives open up greatly upon their marriage, for which a dowry serves as a gift and formal inheritance from their father. Their muses often become the quests of their husbands, for example in the Sho'Ve'Ko sector, there exists a recreation of the human Palace of Versailles. It was constructed by Kos'o Ael'Kai-an at the behest of his wife, Je'Kai-an 'L'Antiquare', who had become fascinated with several human cultures, going so far as to learn how to read, write, and speak the human tongues of both English and French herself.
Living within a highly patriarchal society, one would be foolish to underestimate a linnean woman as merely a bride or possession of their husbands. They are intelligent, dignified, and ferociously protective of their status and way of life. Often committing great effort to expand the influence of their families, and provide for their children every advantage they can acquire.
