So I've been hitting the Imaginary Prisons prints made by Giovanni Battista Piranesi again and coupled with listening to the first audio book The Black Company by Glen Cook, I came up with a top down view of sarcophagus lid of a former human who is now a phantom like creature. Also if I put the translation correctly, it reads, Agomynies the repentant seeker of wisdom. So it is not exactly a creature of malevolence though many do have the perception of it to being a wicked entity. With being said, Agomynies does have keep it's motivations to itself.
