Submitting art from January in March? Who would have thunk it!?
Much like the comics I posted earlier this year, I took on a prompt challenge for the month of January. Pairing up with a friend, we gave one another prompts to draw on each day, with the overall theme being different for each of us. My overall theme? Showcasing Forever Flight in worldbuilding and story. There were 30 days worth of prompts from this month, but some of them are *painfully* sketchy due to me either being busy or struggling with the idea. I'd like to showcase at least some of the better ones here that also share more about my cast!
Oh, and sometimes my friend's characters will show up in the drawings. That was the other half of the prompt month deal. Every even numbered day would feature a cameo crossover between us. I'll point those characters out when that happens!
For this prompt:
Benjamin's first job was actually as a lawyer! He studied law in college and one of his earliest cases was representing Alex in a cheating scandal at his university. Alex had accidentally hacked his way into a private school server (Alex has a... complicated relationship with computers), and he was in danger of being expelled and criminally charged. Ben managed to help him avoid the worst of it, and that ended up forming a connection between the two. In present times, Alex helps Ben out with gathering information digitally.
It's simple, but I enjoyed drawing the sad lil Alex there.
