It's perfectly understandable why Duodeko wouldn't want to come back to life.
In life, he was in constant danger from adventurers and researchers looking for spell components. So even if he got a new body, he'd still be in danger.
But more importantly, he'd be subject to the whims of the gods all over again! At least in here, he is his own master, in the realm that was created for him by Circe. And seeing as Circe's been a bit of an "absentee landlord" of sorts, Duodeko has achieved a greater mastery of the realm than she has.
So he would gain nothing, and be at risk of losing everything, if he were to become mortal again. And that's still no guarantee that Circe would even be able to stop the draining process, since the realm itself is connected to her soul *and* her body.
No, Medea is going to have to respect her daughter in this, and find a solution. If a "solution" is even necessary, that is. Granted, Medea is an expert in Necromancy, but we've already learned that this is *not* Necromancy. So the usual assumptions and guidelines no longer seem to apply.
This will be a journey of learning for everyone...
...if their egos will allow them to, that is.

OMG! This is just incredible to see, I'm loving this so much! The feeling of this beautifully illustrated yet eerie spiritual environment is just absolutely exquisite to see from you, I loved this so honking much! You're always such an exceptionally talented artist, and I'm so flipping stoked to seeing more of these brilliantly hand drawn comics in the future! Keep doing great!
That's some interesting and not good info. Am looking forward to seeing if he gives an explanation.
And once again I don't know these characters as well as I like.
Am aware that Circe and Medea had an argument that drove them apart, it was mentioned pages ago.

As a result of that does Circe have a hard time referring to Medea as her mother, as calling or mother.
Or has Circe always had a hard time with that.
