Dedicated to my grandmother

The Alla Ridge. Together with Dully, Attusi (the plateau of the fallen), Ovyrra and Tamyn, it forms the Kuvryv cuestas. It is their most extensive part. The width is from 25 to 80 kilometers, in the rear part there is a loess-clay plain - Alla planuma (plain). It is occupied by flowing lakes and the Pavny River. Next comes Alla kyra - a dissected surface of the ridge with many plateaus and an orthogonal labyrinth of valleys between them. The differences in altitude here are up to 500 meters. Karst is developed. It is dotted with caves, sinkholes. All this ends with Alla kiya - a ledge of the cuesta. Local trades include animal husbandry, limestone mining, fish farming, and gardening (fruit crops). They are known for their embroidery and wood carving, which is vaguely reminiscent of Hindu themes.
