This is just so freaking astounding and yet so freaking adorable to see Tom and Darky working together to save their friend, so wholesome! You're such an exceptionally lovable artist, and I'm just so freaking hyped to seeing more of this comic and more of your phenomenally lovable characters in the future! Keep doing great!
It's a spell put together in a little glowing box using arcane ingredients only known to a select few arcane artificers. I know. I do this with 3D art. What poor Tom is having to do is... a whole lot harder. He has to come up with a complex counterspell. And with a ticking clock to boot.
Dark's not sizing him up as food, that's probably the last thing on her mind right now. Like, she doesn't want to make DAVE food by mistake. But I wouldn't be surprised if she was taking in and filing his scent away. Either she's going to owe him big, or he's going to owe her one meal.
