Back when Boomerang used to air Hanna-Barbera cartoons, there was a Loopy De Loop episode where he tried to help Cinderella go to the ball and with her glass slipper but toward the end of the said episode, he got decked in the face by the prince and hit continuously on his head with the fairy godmother's wand (he barrowed to help Cinderella) chasing him.

As a reminder the Loopy De Loop episodes originally aired during the civil right era, and he get treated like shit at the end of every episode because of the "wolves are dangerous" stereotype. So you can see why Loopy is apathetic toward mostly everyone in Jellystone.
