Since today's 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆, might as well go ahead and do the Riz 😜

I personally consider Riz one of the more interesting characters from BEASTARS. In Season 2 of the anime, before his death, Tem and Riz were good friends at Cherryton Academy. However, Riz was on medications to control his carnivore-like urges - but after the friendship he made with Tem, he felt like he could control his urges, unfortunately this made his appearance more intimidating, especially to Tem. Lastly, the final moment between Riz and Tem - what Riz thought was a warm embrace, was actually a mauling incident.

Another thing that I find interesting is in another episode where Riz talks about his love of cooking and seeing him put a tomato in his mouth and biting it down, having the juice drip down the corners of his mouth, really adding the intensity to the character, especially after the infamous mauling.

When it came to doing this picture, I wanted to do kind of a "Good / Bad" character portrayal. Having Riz Holding a bottle of Honey - having the Honey contrasting the grayscale color palette that Riz has, as well as him sporting a friendly smile. While in the background showing the Rage that Riz has (based on the first fight scene with Legoshi in the locker room) in a bloody red color tone to add to the violent intensity of the character.
