As the sands of time fill up my glass,

I lay restless, waiting for this storm to pass,.
Apathy overwhelming, until I greet your gaze,

Enduring each moment, lost in a hopeful maze.

Each day blends into a solemn stream,

Blurring the line between life and dream.
Wishing, some nights, I’d never wake up,
So I wouldn’t be forced to wear a smile of makeup.

I ache to leave this world behind,

Fly away and find some peace of mind.

I’m sure it’ll all be better once I finally meet you,

Three more months until I can finally greet you.

I don’t know if I’ll ever be enough,

I’m sure the rocky road ahead will be tough.
But I know, in the end, it’ll be worth the flight,

To find solace in your endless night.

Until then, I search for purpose,

A reason, a spark, a sign of grace.

Find a way to escape this circus,

And let my soul find its rightful place.

I wish this apathy would leave me be,

As every little mistake feels a tragedy.
The days grow longer, the nights more deep,
Why must salvation be so far? So steep?
