Boring title, right? Had a couple ideas of what to write there, but whatever. Not important. I promised this picture would be posted, so allow me to make good on that.

I lived what I thought was an impossible dream, and got to meet the legendary Don Bluth yesterday… frankly, I’m still going crazy about the fact that it even actually happened, it feels like a good dream I might have, similar to ones I’ve actually had in the past. When it was my turn, my heart started pounding, and I thought I was going to faint. I gave him the gift art I drew for him, and also showed him my comfort drawing of Cat R Waul that I love so much. I physically had it with me. I’m always happy whenever someone tells me that my art is good, and that I should stick by it for life. When he himself told me that yesterday, however, it hit very differently coming from the Don Bluth. He told me to never stop drawing, and gave me good advice as well to further perfect my craft. The fact that he knows and likes my art means the world to me! It didn’t just make my day to meet him, it made my year. Possibly my life. For half my life up to now, meeting Don Bluth was a bucket list dream. A dream I never actually believed would become a reality. So, this meant absolutely everything to me.

Also having signed my dvd was Phillip Glasser, the original voice actor for Fievel! Before spending three exciting hours in Don Bluth’s line, I got to talk to this awesome guy too! He never had much of a line to his table, and I actually got to stop and really talk to the man for an extended amount of time! It really felt like just meeting up with an old friend! He was so kind and friendly, he gave me a hug, and when I came back around (having just gotten Don Bluth’s autograph too) he even remembered my name when I returned to his table! I didn’t say anything about that to him, but I was touched! It definitely made me believe that he cares about those who are his fans! Both men made me feel that way, and the feeling is priceless.

Yesterday was literally the best day of my life, this dvd is now and will forever be one of my most prized possessions, and I’ll never forget it for the rest of my days. Thank you both for everything!!
