Kimnoga was named for the tornado that just barely missed her tribe's settlement on the day that she hatched (days later than the rest of her clutch). The miraculous circumstances of her birth led her tribe to believe she was meant to be a protector and she was raised to believe that was her responsibility. Unfortunately, slavers found her tribe before she was big enough to protect anyone. Her mother tossed her into a creek as they were being raided in hopes it would wash her away to safety, which it did.

She grew up in the care of a merchant caravan and worked as security for them when she was strong enough. After, feeling that she needed to pursue her protector role more completely, she set out on her own to find her purpose. Her muscle was exploited a few times before she learned who was trustworthy and who wasn't, and eventually she settled in with a ragtag group of adventurers seeking vengeance for the destruction of their town. She hopes that once revenge has been exacted she can help her friends rebuild and ensure that the town never falls again.
