Castor lives in the countryside, and has a few nuctopans (owl cat) that he raises, and even more chugs (finch-chicken) that he raises. He's practically a hermit outside of a few friends he maintains relationships with (mostly remotely). Trips to civilization are a strictly in-and-out business.
I tried some vague softer shading inside the "shadow" already cast by the dawn, to give a little bit of depth. The rim-lighting only went so far!
Veil drakes, nuctopans, and chugs are all a part of Spacedrake's IP! just put colors onto them and features that stay within the designs' overall standards. The nuctopan's colors are loosely based on an agami heron, and the chug's colors are taken from an owl finch.
