service frustration, circa 2011, mostly, but then mildly altered today. I forgot to look at the weird knees, though.
you can tell this picture is old since aphid, the police beast, is not wearing shoes, and BOTH characters have one foot partially off the ground.
according to an older description:
Whenever I encounter the terminology "bottomless" to describe the odd genre that apparently exists which this gallery has been accused of adhering to, all I can think of are those advertisements for places like The Olive Garden promoting a "bottomless pasta bowl" and friends. I do not go to these places.
I think i did eventually go to an Olive Garden one time and was as impressed as I expected to be.

Olive Garden isn't bad for a generic themed resturant but like you I haven't been to one in years. I DO miss our authentic Italian resturant that made it's pasta and sauces FRESH DAILY! (swoon)
Anyway the Pine Cone is watching the skies for us so I think we'll be ok. Would love to know it's take on celestial goings on but I don' want to disturb it.
As for the drawing ya this must be an older drawing cause I think this is the first time I've seen you use such a heavy black line around your main character. That and your subdued backgrounds. :)

heavy outlines were more common when i drew with a mouse, and I never felt like they arose at all naturally, so i stopped faking that at some point. However there may be an appeal factor to them even when they aren't necessary from a construction standpoint. The pine cone and mild back-lighting were new for this version!
