This is part of a series of drawings I did for a daily sketch challenge with a friend!
This drawing features one of my friend's characters: Lumin! She's some kind of anthropomorphic plant creature, hence the joke with Mel's surprise.
Mel is a surprisingly useful dragon. He's supposed to be the kind of guy who is always doing odd jobs around Keeton City, whether that's being a barista (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/48077258/ ) or answering certain kinds of ads (https://www.furaffinity.net/view/55434962/ ). That allows me to slip him into all sorts of fun situations that further explore parts of the city. Case in point, Drag'N Dash, the ultimate airborne, on-demand delivery service that exclusively hires dragons around the city! I thought it would be fun to take advantage of living in a city full of anthros and have some kind of service that makes use of their unique traits. Mel even has a little ribbon on his tail to indicate to others that he's on the job!
After drawing Mel so many times with his wings folded up, it felt good to just let him spread them out.
