Some art recently done to show my love for a rather mediocre weapon in one of the few modern games ive platinumed in my life. Lies of P I could go on and on about in regards to music, atmosphere, and so on. It’s not a perfect game, but damn if it isn’t a solid one. It deserves the praise it gets, and while every boss weapon isn’t equal, this one stands as one of my favorites. Probably not my top one, but a close second or third. Here’s to a miserably wonderful title.
For anyone who may not know, this is a sword created from a boss soul or Ergo as the game calls it. The gimmick regarding this sword is that it naturally stands encased in rock, offering a very slow moveset and committed animations. However, if you begin to attack things, the rocks will actually crumble revealing the true blade underneath! At this point, your moveset becomes a bit faster. I know it’s not enough to warrant using it and there’s better weapons that are less inconvenient, but I love the look and concept.
And across both forms, it sure as hell packs a punch.
