Wow...I'm all the way on the other side of the country. Yreka, CA, here.

I get these big buggers often. The outside light attracts big moths of all shapes. There are two so far:

The one you have in the pic. These guys are good fliers and tend to simply stick themselves to the sides near the light and rest.

Then, there's the even bigger ones. They have huge, plain white, curved wings, and are much more hyper than the other moths. My cat caught one last night. xD

It looks like a male polyphemus moth. I'm further South in NY and see them occasionally.
