Pom and Conny's Best Day Ever - Don't Make a Big Gal Mad
“HEY! YOU THERE!"
Pomeline stopped, crossing her eyes to look at Constantine. "You say something?"
Constantine shrugged. "Wasn't me."
"OVER HERE, BIG GREEN!"
Pomeline snorted, looking around curiously for the source of the voice, until her eyes focused on a small scale individual standing on a rooftop with a megaphone. "... What'd did he call me?" she asked. "What does that guy even want?" She stomped over towards the building in question. Reaching it, stared down at the smaller dino with an annoyed but inquisitive look.
"Uh... can we help you?" Constantine asked.
"YES!” the smaller dino bellowed. “You can help by getting that giant green insurance hazard OUTTA HERE! You’re causing a ruckus! Hard to work with you romping around like it’s your living room or something!”
Pomeline raised a brow. "What's your deal?”
“I just TOLD you what my deal is!” the small one growled. “Don’t play dumb! You KNOW you’re too big to be waltzing through here!”
Constantine was speechless. Everything this guy was screaming sounded like things he himself would’ve said to Pomeline or ANY of the others, except much more rude, and he realized this was excatly what Pomeline didn’t want to hear out of him on this outing. He couldn’t help but he slightly amused that someone else violated the bet for him, but at the same time, he didn’t exactly appreciate this method. He cautiously glanced back at Pomeline’s eyes, and sure enough, the Para appeared to be getting slightly agitated (of course, he wasn’t sure if she was pretending or not).
The dino with the megaphone continued berating her. “What could you possibly be doing over here anyway?!”
Pomeline rolled her eyes. “We’re just taking a walk. Is there a…” She paused, when she realized what she was about to say sounded familiar, but continued anyway. “… PROBLEM with that?”
“Why walk through HERE of all places?!” the small one replied incredulously. “You have an entire district made to your scale to stomp through…” he trailed off, turning his full attention to Pomeline’s rather ample, plump, heavy frame of a body. “… Though maybe even THAT’S probably not enough for you.”
Constantine felt Pomeline’s face contort under his perch, which shook him slightly. He looked back again at Pomeline’s eyes, and sure enough, the Para looked greatly unimpressed. Typically the Para was quite proud of her thick body, and she’d make sure others knew, and Constantine knew this too well. Even so, as the Para appeared to be pondering for an appropriate response, the Compy turned back to the other dino, he himself looking stern. “Now that was just uncalled for…” he stated plainly.
"Uncalled for?! Stomping on peoples' cars! THAT'S uncalled for!" the other smallie screeched. "I oughta report this big green klutz for vandalism!" Then he turned to Constantine. “And as for YOU, you’re guilty by association! I have half a mind to report you as well!”
“H-huh?!” Constantine began. “For WHAT?!”
“For allowing a large scale to wreck the small scale district, you little traitor! You might even be run out of town, and I’ll personally make sure of it!”
“I… but…” Constantine didn’t know how to respond. He wasn’t sure if she would mention his bet, or mention the fact that realistically he couldn’t stop Pomeline even if he wanted. He fumbled for words, not expecting to be put in the spotlight so suddenly. Fortunately, he wouldn’t have to be in the spotlight for long because…
HOOONK!!
Constantine’s seat was rattled. That honk was noticeably angry-sounding, and that was rare for Pomeline. Constantine looked back once again at her eyes, which now wore a piercing, fiery glare. She wasn’t just toying, she wasn’t just playing, she was downright FURIOUS.
The honk jarred the other small dino into silence, giving Pomeline the opportunity to lay into him, and she did just that, her playful tone completely gone. “Listen to me, you little JERK!” she bellowed. “You can say whatever you want about me, but don’t EVER, EVER come after my little biter buddy!”
“…” The small dino wasn’t sure how to retort, partially because his ears were ringing from Pomeline’s booming voice if they weren’t already from her prior honk.
Pomeline continued. “And I’ll have you know I’m quite PROUD of my fat ol’ body!” she said matter-of-factly. “I may have trouble going through doors, but I still like myself just the way I am. Heavy enough to make a flatbed truck even flatter.” She paused for a second when she heard a tiny scoff from Constantine, then continued. “And dare I say, massive enough to bulldoze that building you’re on just by walking into it, so if I were you, I’d put a CORK in that megaphone and stop bugging us!”
The smaller dino was incredulous. “You… you wouldn’t dare!” he said with an ironic chuckle.
BOOM!!
Pomeline took a step forward and banged her humongous breasts into the skyscraper, rattling it and putting a noticeable crack in it, shaking the smaller dino, both literally and figuratively, him dropping his megaphone in shock. Pomeline stared eerily down at him. ”You wanna BET...?" she said coldly, pushing her weight against the building more until it slightly tilted.
Constantine was mostly hushed as he watched this exchange go on, but he felt it fair, and fitting, to chime in on this one point. "Man... you don't wanna make any bets with this girl. Trust me..."
Pomeline fought to keep herself from giggling. Constantine's comment was a little too on the nose (just like Constantine himself).
The smaller dino recovered. "... Duly noted..." he squeaked.
"Good..." Pomeline said, "now if you don't mind, my little friend and I are having the best day ever, and we'd like to enjoy it WITHOUT your screeching, and I bet the rest of the town would like that too, okay?"
"Enjoy your day, ma'am!" the smaller dino said, quite a bit nicer now and not willing to point out the irony that Pomeline’s stomping was just as much of a racket if not worse. “S… sorry to have disturbed you two!”
Pomeline's mood switched back to her usual self like a light. "Thank you~" she beamed. "Oh, and if you have any more complaints, just talk to my agent, instead of name-calling~" Constantine audibly huffed at the agent comment, again forcing Pomeline to keep her composure. She backed away from the building, letting it tilt back into its original position, and began walking away, a few bits of concrete stuck to her shirt after bumping the building, leaving the smaller dino on the rooftop speechless.
Constantine was still taken aback by the previous exchange. He rarely saw Pomeline get angry on someone else’s behalf, let alone his. He looked back at the Para’s eyes. “Umm… Pom?”
“Hm?” Pomeline crossed her eyes to look at him.
The Compy sighed. “… Thank you…” he said genuinely.
Pomeline looked at him warmly. “Yeah, well, nobody threatens my little biter bud. What a little loudmouth…” She felt her mood souring just from thinking about the guy, but quickly snapped out of it. “But enough about that jerk. The best day ever continues!”
“Heh… yeah!” Constantine couldn’t help but smile a bit. He was surprised at himself, but for at least that moment, he didn’t mind whatever Pomeline did next… as long as it wasn’t too overboard of course.
The best day continues! Pomeline normally doesn't let angry small scales get to her, but this time, it got personal.
Enjoy!
