"Wow, what's this?"
While eating lunch in the back room, Dollhouse peers into the various screens that Wolfscuro is projecting over the space. There were images of panicked workers and mascots chasing after them and killing them one by one.
When Dollhouse explored the current factory, there were not this many mascots and not a single human corpse was present. Apparently, all of the great number of corpses were carefully cleaned up within this period.
[August 8, 1995, 11:00 am. The mascots rioted in this factory.]
Wolfscuro further deploys various screens. The images are clearly shown from a different perspective from the surveillance cameras, which Wolfscuro has cracked the time-space here to actually show scenes from the past.
"Well, I guess it's just like the common movie where an experiment goes out of control."
[The ringleader is a heretical experiment called Prototype. Ostensibly it was a large-scale escape plan, but in reality it was a massacre of all the employees and a takeover of this place. And now the prototype seems to be in control of the place.]
"Does it feel like we all started a revolution to make him king?"
[That doesn't seem to be the case. Look. ]
Wolfscuro points to a group of images.
The images show mascots leading employees, children, and small mascots to safety, unlike many of the mascots who are part of the massacre.
The video then rapidly changes, showing mascots arguing, mascots attacking other mascots, and then a shelter-like area where the mascots are huddled together.
In other words, there are still mascots somewhere who are opposing this riot and the rule of the prototype, and continuing to resist.
"Uh, you're thinking of something worse again, aren't you?"
[What’s that about? But this looks like it's going to be a lot more interesting than just a horror show. Which character will the audience empathize with?]
This seemingly abandoned factory is not just a place where a terrifying mascot monster roams. There is a lot of past here, a lot of speculation.
They have been made to be "actors" in this moment. What happens here from now on is a show for the "audience. Of course they don't know that. They cannot know, they cannot remember. Even if their destiny is intentionally guided or set up, even if a totally unknown entity has intervened in their past, even if the experience has been repeated several times.
