ME? Completely forget that I upload here as well?…Noooo, never! *Sweats nervously*
This was supposed to be apart of a Pokemon Headcanon entry,
showcasing how Everstones work in my Poke’verse and how hazardous they can be, but I never got to finish it, sadly.

This poor creature is supposed to be a Flareon, but his very young trainer made the grave mistake of trying to evolve him with a Fire stone,
despite having had him wear an Everstone collar for most of his life.
Everstones are already pretty dicey objects to deal with since they can alter a Pokémon’s DNA to make evolution impossible,
But an Everstone on an Eevee, a being with an already unstable makeup, is BOUND to give you some problems, especially when you try to evolve it afterwards.
Needless to say, things didn’t fare well for this poor little guy.
The child was so frightened from what he saw, he ran away. Leaving the poor Flareon completely immobile and alone in the park where he tried to evolve him. The Flareon was found some couple hours later, and quickly raced to a Pokemon Center, but sadly Nurse Joy immediately knew that nothing could be done for him and that keeping him alive while he’s in so much pain would be cruel. She was forced to euthanize him on the spot.
Though he lived with the child that tried to evolve him, he didn’t necessarily belong to that child yet, meaning he was never caught nor registered into digital databanks. So knowing who he belonged to or even what his name was was impossible.
Nurse Joy, though, decided to name him ‘Pocky’ in the very short time that she knew him.
Outside of her Pokemon Center lies a small memorial shrine full of flowers and even a Teddiursa plushie.
Next to it, a photo of Pocky. Though still looking rather hideous, seemed surprisingly at peace in the photo,
perhaps taken after he was given sedatives to ease his pain, the only bit of peace he had known his his evolution.
The words ‘May Arceus guide his spirit to rest in peace’ engraved in the silver frame surrounding the photo.
This shrine seems to serve not just as a memorial to Pocky, but as a stark warning to others of the dangers of using an Everstone so recklessly.
Oddly enough, for as long as this memorial has been up, there’s always been this strange child that visited the shrine nearly every day for about a year now. He never speaks, and each time Nurse Joy goes to talk with him, he just runs away.
To this day, this child is still unknown.
