~Flavor Text~
Deep in his dreams, Lapis sleeps peacefully. His breaths are soft, steady carrying him through a world where worries cannot follow. In this dream, he sprints through fields of tall grass, the scent of wildflowers lingering sweetly in the air. The landscape stretches endlessly, painted in soft greens and blues that meet at the horizon. The sun hangs warm and golden, its light pouring gently over the earth.
Lapis takes a seat, closing his eyes for a moment as he breathes it all in. The air is fresh, and the distant sound of birdsong fills the sky. There are no trees for them to perch in, yet they sing... and they keep singing. He smiles softly, savoring the calm. He knows this is a dream and in this moment, he fully embraces it. No stress, no sadness, nothing weighing him down. It is pure, gentle bliss.
When the time feels right, he rises again. Energy renewed, heart light, he races across the fields with effortless joy.
But soon, the dream fades.
Lapis jolts awake, his breath catching for just a moment. The soft fabric of his pink and white striped thigh-highs clings to his fur, still warm from sleep. The little pink bows on his ears flutter slightly as he blinks against the sunlight streaming through the window. The pretty pink collar around his neck was like the cherry on top. The pink bow tied around his tail, with a bell jingling with the vibrations. His bright yellow eyes adjust, slowly taking in the room with a tear falling from his eye, and his shirt is playful and honest.
With a long, satisfying stretch, his muscles tense for a brief second. His arms reach the sides of his head, his mouth opening wide as a gentle yawn escapes long and slow, the sound carrying softly through the room.
“Ahhhh-hhaaaaaa~.”
For a moment, the world is still. The warmth of sleep lingers, but the day has arrived. As Lapis lowers his arms, a playful glint flickers in his eyes. The sun is high... and it’s time for a little mischief.
THANK YOU AGAIN SAIKA!!!!!! I had told them that for this piece, I would like to use it as a background for my PC and if the dimensions and be standard 1920x1080p or something along those lines. Saika said they can draw it in 3840x2160 !!!!!!!!!~>.<~ BTW I probably wont change this... Like ever... It has to be at least 5 years from now before I change my background, it's TOO GOOD!!!!!!!! For some clarity, this is the second commission I've grabbed off of Saika💛💙💛💙 ~>.<~ Saika also said they loved drawing Lapis 😭😭😭 Saika is forced to be fren :3
I was so impressed with the first one. The art style is just perfect for Lapis, and it's so beautiful to look at!!! THIS IS EVEN BETTER THOUGH!!!!!! THE SUNLIGHT AND HIS CUTE FACE AND CLOTHING 😭😭😭😭😭 I CANNOT THANK THEM ENOUGH!!!!! LITERALLY EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS SO GOOD. THE CLOTHING, THE FUR, THE BACKGROUND, THE PAWBS, THE HANDS, THE TREES GOSHHHHH THANK YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU💛💙💛💙

THANK YOUUUUUUUU <3 When writing I had 2 objectives I wanted to capture. I wanted to capture a slow read! I tried to make descriptions long but not annoying. Explaining a nice story then as you get closer to the end I wanted the details to come up soft and vibrant :3 I did write this at 12 am though, so I'm glad it ended up good. Lastly I wanted to make sure I explained the image :3c
you did a wonderful job with it! it really captures the moment in a succinct and captivating way! Your descriptions and atmosphere really help pull the story and the art together!
