Did you know that there was a contest back in '08 for the gathering, where Greg was asking any writers to put up a mythology ring for ideas for the artifacts in the series.

The Rock of Ages, the Holy Grail, The spear of Destiny, the Star of Arabia, and the Praying Gargoyle.

There were others but it skips my mind, and if the comic series was to continue, these particular items would have been prolific in the series.

Won't happen though, cause if you don't know, the comic is officially ended, and the Conventions will cease...

I wouldn't completely set that announcement in stone (if you'll pardon the pun). The conventions may be over, but the comic already went through a 'cancellation', only to release the timedancer series. I wouldn't be surprised if Greg further surprised the fans by getting enough support ot release more Gargoyles tidbits and info through other story mediums.


I'm really curious about the star of Arabia artifact now. Is there any info online where I can read about how it correlates to the gargoyles universe?

oh my gosh...these guys are spectacular!!! the pacaderm....and the male on the far right!!! total may i ask what the inspiration for the blue male was? he looks like a raptor or snake/reptile and his markings are gorgeous!

that female in the middle is a freaking goddess!!1 her colours are to die for!! and the wings on her waist are a killer design aspect!
