during the opening credits of Islands, Cheyin gets a few frames of animation to pull off this pose and look really cool
it isn't that we don't have the budget for him to do this with his wings and tail during the actual episodes it's just we don't have a lot of ROOM for it like oh my GOD, did you ever notice that in the actual episodes (you haven't, there are 20 episodes (chapters) so far and i haven't uploaded them anywhere) Cheyin for all the things he'll pick on S/V over, it's never their tail and wings being so darn big?

i'm glad you're coming to terms with your racism, maybe someday you'll learn how to work on yourself (unlikely, dogs only improve when someone improves them (different from wolves (depicted above) who come out of the box pretty great (you can tell the difference by that cheyin isn't birdracist)))
From the hips down the wolf symbolism gave way to a peacock’s. Wings sprouted—
“No no no,” Velocity said. “Don’t use sprouted for talking about your wings, everyone does that, it’s awful.”
His hips gave birth to a pair of wings—
“What?” Chimmering asked. “Giving birth? They’re comin’ outta yer hips at the side, not like, y’not pushing them out. Y’know. From the,” and Chimmering whispered, “the baby making parts.” She did a hand gesture of one hand emerging out of her other hand, sort of a pushing-them-out gesture, very helpful.
“Pushing them out,” Sin said. “Evocative. Terribly evocative.”
Look, Cheyin had these cool peacock wings folded up against his hips, and a long gown of a peackock’s tail trailing behind him, the eyes replaced with little sun symbols. Also his legs were bird legs. “If you don’t describe things, no one knows what it looks like. It’s like we’re in a white void,” Cheyin said.
