Daniel was born in a secluded village on the shores of a deep, murky lake, where eternal fog covered the horizon. His land was peaceful, but it was not exempt from the shadows that inhabit the world. Since childhood, Daniel felt that his destiny was intertwined with something dark, as if the very blood in his veins was blessed and cursed by forces beyond human comprehension. His father, an exile from a distant kingdom, always warned him about the dangers of the world, but what Daniel feared most was the coldness that his father reflected. There was something in his story that was never told. Over time, Daniel became a strong man, training tirelessly in the arts of combat, forging a rare skill with the sword and daggers alongside his father. The sword was too big for most, but in Daniel's hands it seemed to become an extension of his own soul. The daggers, thin and sharp, were used in moments when no one was allowed to approach, marking their victims with lethal speed. However, Daniel's village was soon overtaken by the shadow of what he feared. A dark cult, seeking power, ravaged his homeland, bringing with it a silent apocalypse. During the attack, Daniel tried to fight off the invaders, but even with all he had, he was unable to save those he loved. In a fit of rage and desperation, Daniel sacrificed the rest of his humanity to defeat his enemies, and upon killing the cult leader, he was struck by a curse that sealed his soul and spread a sinister mark across his body. His heart, once full of emotion, was consumed by darkness, and now he carries a void that can only be filled by revenge... Daniel eventually discovered that his curse was not an isolated event. He heard whispers of a distant kingdom, Drangleic, where cursed souls were trapped in an endless cycle, a relentless repetition that seemed to be the very essence of suffering and decay for those who succumbed to the curse of not only being able to die, but also unable to live. Daniel’s connection to the curse deepened, revealing that his soul was not only marked by the tragedies of his past, but by a greater presence that extended across the world. Driven by grief and a search for answers, Daniel set out for Drangleic, where he learned that the greatest secrets of the curse and the nature of darkness could be unlocked. He did not know it yet, but his journey would lead him to more than simple revenge. He was caught in a web of destinies that connected the dead, the lost, and the forgotten, and the cycles of fire and darkness. Upon his arrival in Drangleic, Daniel found a kingdom in decay, full of ruins and forgotten memories. But what caught his attention most was the dim glow of a flame that still burned on the throne, being fed by something... or someone. He had known that, like so many others, he would have to choose: embrace the darkness or sacrifice himself in the name of fire. But the real question was: what would be the price to pay for either path? Daniel, who already carried the weight of his curse, now saw a new facet of his soul being forged, for in Drangleic, time was an illusion and souls were in an endless cycle of rebirth and decay. The kingdom, marked by the rise and fall of kings and heroes, was more than just a place lost in the mists of time. It was a reflection of Daniel's own suffering, a mirror of his own choices and insatiable search for power, redemption and revenge. Along his journey, he encountered other damned and beings marked by darkness and the curse of Eternity. But what struck him most was the fact that his fight was not against the enemies before him, but against the cycle of the world itself. He saw that the ancient kingdoms, those that had risen around a fire, were now crumbling, their rulers and heroes falling into despair, as lost as he was. Daniel now knew that his journey was not just about revenge, but about breaking this eternal cycle. The fire that had once symbolized hope had become a prison, fueled by souls like his own, burning from the inside out. But on the other hand, the darkness that so many feared also represented a form of freedom, an escape from the relentless cycle of life and death. As he approached the depths of Drangleic, he saw a horrifying sight: the flame he had seen on the throne was no simple light, but a flame fueled by those who fell into the abysses of darkness. It was there that he found himself, ever closer to losing his humanity, but also closer to understanding that the real battle was not against the beings in front of him, but against the very fire that consumed the world. Now, with his colossal sword in one hand and his sharp daggers in the other, Daniel continues on his journey, not only to destroy, but to understand the mysteries that connect the cycle of flames and darkness. His path will lead him to the very heart of corruption, where he will have to decide: save the world or finally break the cycle of suffering that binds everyone, including himself, to eternal damnation.
