Arrangement: Special World Map BGM (Super Mario World)
Written for saxophone quartet (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone) and piano, this is my take on the world map music for the Special World in the video game Super Mario World. Players get access to this if they complete all the levels in the special Star World. The first six measures loop endlessly for a while, but if you let the game sit still enough, it actually starts playing the original Super Mario Bros. Overworld BGM, which I thought was a clever Easter egg to add to the game.
My arrangement plays the loop twice before going into the regular theme.
