I had a similar experience to this. We were going to be made to wear silly glasses if we didn't sell enough extras on our calls. The moment they handed them to me I snapped them in half and binned them. They didn't bother after that.

Dawn's workplace isn't very unlike my own. The warehouse of my company (where I work), a sales and service dealer of office equipment, is about an 1/8 of a mile down the road from our corporate office. For two parts of the same company, it's amazing how different the culture is between the two. It literally is a different world over at corporate; they do a lot of the same stupid stuff there that Dawn's department does!

The funny thing is, those incentives actually WORK!
