Well, Mothers' Day is just around the corner for British types like myself, and since I'd already drawn Kumiko Mori last week, I figured this time I'd better draw one of the SPCM-verse's other mothers - sweet, dependable old Evelyn Clapton. I also wanted to do my take on the old 'sexy lady draped over a car' routine, and since Evie's one of the few characters who actually drives one, it had to be her - and the car just had to be her trusty old Volvo (which, as I've pointed out before, bears an uncanny resemblance to the 1996 850 Estate my late dad used to drive). She's even made a rare concession to cutting loose, and dug out one of her old bikinis especially for the occasion.
