Rebelle, many many hours, streamed in my Discord server, yes Froge.
When I was a kid, I caught a snippet from somewhere about lions at war with unicorns. Seems it might have been from a nursery rhyme describing the conflicts between England and Scotland. I recently had a dream about it. Woke up at 4am wondering what a cross between a winged-lion and a unicorn would look like. Had to paint it and here we are.
This originally started out on a plain gray background and it shows but I don't entirely hate that? I have a bad tendency to oversaturate things anyway. I had maybe a little too much fun painting the mane and not as much fun painting the wings. I'm very proud of those hooves. Trying to design the gait of a feline-equine hybrid was almost as much of a nightmare as trying to sort out wing/shoulder anatomy. NGL, this one made me go fucking cross-eyed with exhaustion. I'd be surprised if altogether, it took anything less than 50hrs.

i would suggest that you and jordan consider moving out to The Sticks, since this seems to gel well with your affinity..

..or, like, a 30 - 15 minute drive, via a low-speed, passenger vehicle

i know Housing isn't.. ..quite like it used to be; but, i'm wondering if there might be a decent, one-level / one-bedroom house, or a one-bedroom studio / apartment, you (and your Kitty Children) might be able to afford, if you could find a roomie (you trust) to split the expenses with?
anything, which could serve as an alternative to your enduring your current "living" accommodations — which, by rights, only sound like they're going to accelerate your Passing faster

Every work of art you make is a masterpiece! The hooves are gorgeous, like gilded opals. The blend of feline and equine is so smooth and the design is incredibly elegant and regal. And the lore behind the image is really intriguing as well, everything alludes to a deeper story rife with conflict and forbidden love. Great job!

wow, I don't even want to imagine how difficult it must have been to fuse the two together :O
But it's a cool concept. letting my imagination spread a bit I could imagine him being the ancester of pegasus once the gods took control over the world XD

Perhaps the background was a fortunate accident. The slightly ashy tone with the green and pale pink gives the impression of cold fire beyond the horizon. Lends an ominous undertone, a reminder of how under the majesty a lion is an unglamorous predator; and the unicorn, under its softened modern mythology, a beast that is barely tameable.
