Second painting in the series. I can't remember if I explained the title or not, but it references that the paintings are a product of both traditional legends and modern stories like manga, anime, and video games. The first couple of creatures in the paintings were literal hybrids like this glorious snake-tailed kitsune. In later paintings, the animals seem like they might be regular wild life, but there are hints that something supernatural is going on.
