Perhaps, in a surprise twist, Ouija pulls both of Dante's ears which causes his face to implode and an instant knee-jerk reaction of a hard backward kick, thus slamming the door open.

To clarify, I think it's something I've seen on an animated show before. A character (I think it was a dog) has their ears pulled and it makes their face cave in and one or more limbs move. Of course it went back to normal immediately after the pull was released. I think the gag was that there was supposed to be some internal mechanism that made the ears connected to the face and limbs somehow.

It was funny when I saw it, particularly in context of the show. And I just thought it would be a humorous reference here. I wish I could remember what it was from.
