Ah, another Schmoker Dr. Darius piece, I swear he's obsessed having artists keep doing the same images over and over and over. I think he's obsessed with hypnotism too, cause that's a frequent subject of his as well. David overall is a nice guy, and admittedly sometimes its fun to copy a silver age comic style that he hands you copies of the pages he wants done, but after awhile it does get old repeating what others have also done. At Furry Migration 2024, David hit me up for numerous repeats of the same thing, I told him, I'll draw up Dr Darius , but on my terms. Which he oddly allowed. I drew the character completely 'off character'. Plus added a Tor Johnson on one piece with Darius on mind control to keep him happy.
Rgibson is another frequent flier for his requests.

Yeah, been there, done that. At this point I do have a 'no more Cobra' mandate. However, I'll admit redoing some of the other golden-age comic pages has been kind of fun, and pretty easy, since I basically just have to copy the art but change the human characters into furries.
My main objection was that he wanted Salem to be delivering that cheesy dialogue. As long as my character wasn't being humiliated I didn't have a problem with the material. But back when I was in dire need of money, poor Salem had to do his part in keeping the artist afloat, which including doing a lot of commissions with him I wouldn't ordinarily do.
Thanks for bring me back in the past gold years of the fandom
I really miss a lot this artstyle and the traditional comics
You know what? People may call it "old school" but this style never age, I want to see more often.
I keep drawing with ink pens (despite coloring on digital to speed up the process) because I'm too much attached to this vibe.
Still happy you came back on art and hope you wil continue to keep it up, new Furries have to remember who set the pillar of the fandom
